Downad/Conficker Worm: Worry-Free Business Security 5.x Customers Are Protected
There has been a lot of press coverage lately about the Downad worm, also known as Conficker. This widespread virus, discovered in November 2008, is expected to try to update itself April 1. Once active, it disables access to antivirus websites and Windows Update service. It also hides or locks files and disables the option to reboot in Safe Mode, making it difficult to remove. Fortunately, customers of Trend Micro™ Worry-Free™ Business Security 5.x are protected, as long as they have the latest updates from Trend Micro and Microsoft. |
